Edafim (BWT® Group), a French manufacturer of water fountains based in the Biovallée® (26), has developed a continuous water disinfection system for its Wintact® brand, in order to combat any risk of nosocomial infection, in sensitive environments such as nursing homes and hospitals.
The process used consists of UV-C irradiation of the water sufficiently powerful and long enough to eliminate any presence of micro-organisms in the water at the time of its use, without any chemical agent and without flow rate limit.
Edafim called on i&D to develop new functions for Wintact 3. This new generation of water fountain is notably equipped with a touch screen and a UV-C aerator, the latter eliminating any risk of retro contamination. through the water outlet spout. Using UV-C technology, the aerator irradiates microorganisms that may come into contact with water at the dispensing point.
i&D worked on the mechanical and electronic development, the product adaptation to other water fountains on the market, the UX/UI design of the touch screen interface and the definition of the visual identity and logo
